AirSync is perfect for the music lover with an Android powered device! It utilizes a desktop client that pulls the user's iTunes playlists and library! It's extremely intuitive and easy to use with it's almost idiot proof setup process and scheduled syncing. Just put both the Android device and the computer being used on the same WiFi connection, open up doubleTwist on the computer and the device should automatically appear on the left hand side under devices. After that all you do is enter the security code on the device into the desktop client and boom. It brings up a page with all the playlists on the computer and allows you to check which playlists you want synced. After that it will automatically sync on the hour as long as both devices remain on the same network.

I did find a few problems with the devices updating playlist info but a quick fix I found was to just restart the mobile device. It refreshes the playlist file being used and fixes the issue! Overall, this app is wonderful and completely worth the $4.99 purchase price! Solid 5 stars!

ShopSavvy is a perfect app for those penny-pinchers who just love to save money on everyday items. Just use the app to scan a barcode off of a product and ShopSavvy does the rest, pulling up customer reviews, a map showing other stores close by that carry the same product, and even a list of stores sorted by price (low to high). But thats not all it does! You know those pesky QR codes that seem to be on every product sold? ShopSavvy will easily scan those and pull up the linked website, app, or whatever else the QR code instructs it to do. Best of all, this app is free for both Android and iOS users!  However, this app seems to be lacking on features, and there are a lot of items that aren't cataloged into the ShopSavvy system which makes the app useless on those products. Overall, ShopSavvy is a solid 3 star app!

Osmos HD

Imagine being a tiny cell in the midst of many larger cells that would love to gobble you up whole, what would you do? Well in Osmos HD, the answer is simple, eat or be eaten! Osmos has been called a "must play" by MTV Multiplayer for it's amazing HD graphics, unique physics-based gameplay, it's addictive gameplay and multiplayer capabilities! Best of all, it's only $2.99 on the Google Play Store! However, it's substantially higher at $4.99 on the Apple App Store. Overall a solid 5 star app!

Six Guns

Love old westerns? Wish you could ride a horse around town while wielding a gun? Well then is Six Guns a game for you! Created by Gameloft, Six Guns offers high end graphics, fun gameplay, and an endless possibility of exploration. Best of all, this game is FREE for both Android and iOS users. Overall, I enjoyed this game from start to finish, however I will warn you that this game might not be suitable for little kids (the official Play Store and App Store listings show a 9+ age requirement) due to some crude humor and sometimes excessive profanity but it's nothing compared to most first person shooters (I'm looking at you Modern Warfare: 3). However this app follows in the foot steps of most Gameloft apps, full of bugs and it always has some type of lag in the gameplay but hey, it's free. Overall, I rate this app at 3 out of 5 stars!

If you thought Dead Trigger was good, wait til you see its predecessor, Shadowgun! It was one of the original Tegra 2 games released last October and it is arguably better than any other game on both Android and iOS! At only $4.99 on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, it features breath taking graphics, a somewhat hard to follow story thats actually quite interesting, and addictive gameplay. Seriously, who wouldn't like a futuristic game where you get to play as John Slade, the galaxy's most infamous bounty hunter who is assigned to hunt down a maniacal super-genious? Especially considering this app has been praised on multiple occasions for it's impressive graphics, immersive story line, and for containing the most advanced combat seen on any mobile game according to the official Play Store listing. Of course if this game is played on any iOS device, you will not experience the full graphics possibilities due to hardware limitations but even on lower graphics settings, it still makes any phone or tablet into a mini-game console. This app receives a solid 5 stars!

Fast Burst Camera

Ever tried taking pictures of say an animal or a small child? Did you get frustrated when every picture you took was blurry from movement? If you have ever went through this, then Fast Burst Camera is a perfect app for you! Its very fast, as in fast enough to make a stop-motion out of moving people and even fireworks (I used this app over the 4th of July and got some very cool .gif animations of fireworks) and yet it is still able to maintain high image resolution and quality. When I used this app, the difference between a normal picture taken with the stock app on max settings and Fast Burst camera were almost indistinguishable in both quality and resolution. But thats not all this app can do, it automatically organizes the pictures taken into sub folders (which can be found on the external SD card) that contain all the pictures from one event (by default one event is one fast burst of pictures which can be between 2-2000 pictures, it depends on how many pictures your device is capable of taking and retaining in its memory and how long you held down the camera button). Once all the pictures are organized, there are a few options available to the user, you can make a .gif animation out of the capture pictures, make a collage, or share them to a friend. Overall, this is a great app that is very stable (I never experienced any force closures, locking up, etc) and full of features thus it receives a solid 5 stars.  However I would like to see a few more features such as the ability to stitch the pictures into a normal video format instead of a .gif (Facebook and most social media sites don't take .gif animations) especially considering the app cost $3.99 in the Google Play Store (don't worry, there is a trial version available)!
